  • Geraldo Ferrer, NPS - Naval Postgraduate School United States

    Professor Geraldo Ferrer currently serves as the Associate Dean for Research & Development at the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy. Previously, Dr. Ferrer served as Chair of the Operations and Logistics Management Area and Academic Associate of the Logistics Curriculum of the Naval Postgraduate School. His areas of expertise include supply chain tracking technologies (RFID and IUID), reverse logistics and remanufacturing. He has published on these topics in several academic journals and presented his research in national and international conferences and in invited seminars in various universities. He is a contributor in the Handbook of Environmentally Conscious Manufacturing and Handbook of Industrial Ecology. Dr. Ferrer serves as Associate Editor of the Decision Sciences Journal, and as reviewer for many academic journals, the National Science Foundation and the Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada. Dr. Ferrer has consulted for companies in the United States on process improvement, waste reduction and reverse logistics issues. He has advised dozens of Master thesis by US Navy officers on the Naval supply chain and related topics. He received his PhD (Technology Management) from INSEAD, MBA from Dartmouth College, and B.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) from the Military Institute of Engineering, Brazil.
