Abstract

This study aims to contribute to the improvement of the project management skill levels. It focuses on exploring the key factors of project manager experience that correlate with Overall Expertise and project Percent Success. This study differs from current literature because it uses project managers self-reported experience metrics as data for both stepwise linear and ordinal logistic regression analysis. The resulting correlation framework which significantly predicts both Overall Expertise and Percent Success can be useful to project managers and their supervisors as a quick assessment of project manager competency and maturity.
